The Power of Faith through Connections (revisited)
January 19
In today's reflection, we look into the concept of connections and their role in deepening our faith. Two remarkable stories from the Bible, the Centurion and the Syrophoenician woman, illustrate the power of faith through these connections. The Centurion, a man of authority, sought the Lord's help for his ailing servant. Instead of requesting Jesus's physical presence, he displayed unwavering faith by saying, "Just say the word, and my servant will be healed." This statement resonated with Jesus, emphasizing the significance of faith as a powerful connection to the word of God (Matthew 8:5-13).
Similarly, the Syrophoenician woman, despite initial rebukes, persevered in her plea for her daughter's deliverance. Even when Jesus compared her to a dog, she responded, "Even the dogs get the scraps from the table." Her persistent faith connected her to the delivering power within Jesus's words (Mark 7:24-30). These stories reveal that faith forms a connection to the word of God, transcending teachings or formal education.
The Centurion and the Syrophoenician woman, both Gentiles, connected with Jesus as the living word of God, resulting in the fulfillment of their desires for healing and deliverance. The concept of connections extends beyond these two examples. Jesus, in Revelation, speaks of standing at the door and knocking, inviting us to open our hearts to Him. He is the door, the portal to the heavenly throne room, and the Creator of all (Revelation 3:20). By inviting Jesus into our lives, we step into the throne room of grace, where our worship and journey begin.
In this sacred place, we find the key to healing and restoration. Jesus is the portal, and in His name, we access the throne room where everything originates. Even amidst sickness and adversity, we can enter the glory realm, making connections and transforming the seemingly negative into good. As the Bible reminds us, "Greater is He that is within you than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4). The 24/7 worship happening in the heavenly throne room offers an opportunity for us to participate. The four living creatures continuously cry out, "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty," while the 24 elders cast their crowns and worship. This ongoing worship process is accessible to us at any time and in any place.
To align ourselves with heaven, we must cultivate hearts filled with worship, thanksgiving, and praise. These attitudes mirror the beginning of everything, where God's glory reigns supreme. When we worship, we tap into the source of all creation, causing everything in our lives to align with heavenly principles, including healing and prosperity. Remember, the word of God permeates everything, encompassing both the good and the bad. Jesus exists in all things, even in places like hell and the devil's domain. Recognizing His presence everywhere, we can join the eternal worship, acknowledging His role as the Creator of heaven and earth wherever we may be.
In conclusion, the power of faith through connections is a divine gift we can embrace. The stories of the Centurion and the Syrophoenician woman teach us that faith in Jesus as the living word of God can move mountains. By inviting Jesus into our hearts, we gain access to the throne room of grace, where worship is eternal (Revelation 3:20). In this sacred space, we can align ourselves with heaven and transform every aspect of our lives. Embrace the power of faith through connections and watch as your faith takes root and bears fruit in your life.
