Taking the Kingdom by Force: A Biblical Guide to Victory in Life
January 29
In the Christian journey, there is a vital key that often goes overlooked but is crucial for a victorious life – taking the kingdom by force (Matthew 11:12). Scripture reminds us that we are called to take the kingdom forcefully, just as the Bible instructs us. It means that we don't back down in the face of adversity; we press forward, claiming our spiritual inheritance. Sometimes, this requires sheer determination and unwavering faith, even when we may not feel particularly spiritual or when life's challenges seem overwhelming.
Instead of succumbing to despair, we can tap into the power of our prayer language and the groanings of the Spirit (Romans 8:26). By doing so, we can conquer adversity, receive healing, and gain the wisdom we need. We have the choice to either moan, groan and complain or to take a stand and groan in the spirit with our prayer language, using the Word of God, the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, and the Holy Spirit's power to transform our circumstances from negativity to positivity, from sickness to health, and from poverty to prosperity.
One of the remarkable aspects of this journey is realizing that we possess the weapons of our spiritual warfare (2 Corinthians 10:4). Regardless of the storms we face, we have the authority to speak peace into our situations, just as Jesus calmed the raging sea (Mark 4:39). You have the power to speak to the obstacles that seem insurmountable and usher in the peace of God. Sometimes, it requires a sheer act of willpower to activate the God-given authority within you. Taking the kingdom by force also means confronting the giants in our lives (1 Samuel 17:45-46). These giants represent the challenges and obstacles that stand between us and God's promises. Yet, we can overcome them by prayer, worship, thanksgiving, and by wielding the weapons of our spiritual arsenal – Scripture (Ephesians 6:17). In moments of fear and uncertainty, remember the words of Jesus, who declared, "Fear not, for I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). Instead of giving in to fear or negative emotions, choose to praise and thank God. As the book of James reminds us, trials and tribulations can lead to joy as they test and strengthen our faith, ultimately leading to spiritual growth (James 1:2-4).
Our journey in God is a continuous progression from glory to glory, from faith to faith (2 Corinthians 3:18). As kings and priests, we are more than conquerors through Christ who empowers us (Romans 8:37). Through our anointing from the Holy Spirit (1 John 2:20), we can move mountains, not by our might or power but by the Spirit of the Lord (Zechariah 4:6). By speaking with unwavering belief, we can make the mountains in our lives move (Mark 11:23).
Before engaging in spiritual warfare, it's crucial to ensure that our hearts are free from unforgiveness and sin (1 John 1:9). We must repent and align our souls with God's righteousness, allowing us to step into battle with confidence in Jesus' name. The choice to take ground and stand strong is ours. Even in the face of adversity, we can choose joy and life. The Bible encourages us to choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19), and we can do so by speaking and declaring the Word of God. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17), and it serves as the substance of our hopes and the evidence of things unseen (Hebrews 11:1). Remember that we are not alone on this journey. God's truth is unchanging, and His promises are sure. He is our strength when we are weak, and He brings light into every darkness (Psalm 27:1, John 8:12). By wielding the force of the Word of God, through worship, thanksgiving, and prayer, we can shock the spiritual forces of darkness and claim the kingdom forcefully.
In conclusion, taking the kingdom by force is not an option; it's a mandate for every believer. With the Word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, and unwavering faith, we can overcome every obstacle, defeat every giant, and maintain the kingdom's expansion. By following God's way, seeking His kingdom first (Matthew 6:33), and trusting in His promises, we can be assured that all things will be added unto us, and we will take the kingdom by force!
