Living in Divine Health: Operating from a Spiritual Perspective

July 23

In the spiritual realm, where we are seated with Christ, there exists a perfect state without sickness or disease—a state of complete wellness. This perfection in the spirit should be our reference point, as our true existence is not tethered to the physical world but anchored in the spiritual, next to Jesus. Understanding this is crucial because our soul, the intermediary between our spirit and body, often grapples with aligning to our spiritual reality rather than the physical one.

When we affirm our healing, "I am healed," we are not denying physical symptoms but rather affirming our spiritual reality. The spirit is whole; therefore, our declarations should reflect this truth. This spiritual truth becomes the lens through which our soul views our existence, gradually manifesting this reality into our physical bodies. As we immerse ourselves in Scripture, our spiritual eyes open, and the Logos—the Word of God—guides us to see and experience divine health.

Many suffer from lack of knowledge, as stated in Hosea 4:6, perishing for they do not 'see' their true spiritual state. However, through the Word, we gain the knowledge and vision to transform our lives. By declaring and visualizing our healing, we begin to operate from a place of spiritual authority, as Jesus taught. Our spirit is fully equipped and perfect, resonating with the perfection that Andrew Wommack speaks of. Meanwhile, our soul is on a journey of salvation, with our body following suit.

The physical body often only perceives through worldly senses and can mislead if we give it authority. Instead, we should command our soul to align with the spirit, choosing life over death. This choice is critical, as Deuteronomy 30:19 encourages us to choose life so that we and our descendants may live. Choosing the spiritual over the physical allows us to embrace the life-giving power of Jesus's words, which are spirit and life.

Paul, in Romans 8:11, reveals that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us and gives life to our mortal bodies. This Scripture underscores the transformative power of viewing our circumstances through the lens of spiritual truth. By aligning our soul with this truth, we bring the reality of heaven—of healing, prosperity, and wisdom—into our earthly experience.

In declaring "I am healed," we speak not from a physical standpoint but from a spiritual certainty. This declaration challenges our body and the world to align with the truth of our spiritual health. It is in this divine exchange—sickness for health, poverty for prosperity—that our testimony becomes a beacon of faith, influencing not only our bodies but also the creation around us.

As sons and daughters of God, led by the Holy Spirit, we are called to adopt the mind of Christ—the mind of the anointing. This spiritual mindset empowers us to transcend our physical limitations and manifest the kingdom of God in our everyday lives. By consistently choosing the spirit over the flesh, we live out the victory Christ has secured for us, demonstrating the power of faith and the reality of God's Word in our lives.
