The Power of Kneading (needing) the Word of God

June 24

In our spiritual journey, the Word of God serves as our daily bread, nourishing and sustaining us. Just as bread needs to be kneaded to become a source of sustenance, we must knead the Word into our lives to truly live by it. This process involves reading, meditating, and speaking the Word, allowing it to take root deep within our souls.

The practice of meditating on scripture is akin to kneading dough. As we immerse ourselves in the Word, we wait upon the Lord, trusting that the Holy Spirit will bring to our remembrance the scriptures we've embedded in our hearts. This continuous process of engagement with the Word enables us to internalize God's promises and truths, empowering us to declare them over our lives.

The scriptures assure us of our identity and victory in Christ. "I am the healed of the Lord" (Isaiah 53:5), "I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus" (2 Corinthians 5:21), and "No weapon formed against me shall prevail" (Isaiah 54:17) are powerful declarations that affirm our position in Christ. These truths remind us that our battles are not fought by our might or power, but by the Spirit of the Lord (Zechariah 4:6).

In moments of struggle, we speak to our mountains with faith, commanding them to be removed in Jesus' name (Mark 11:23). Whether it's sickness, deception, or any other obstacle, we have the authority to cast them out, believing that they must bow to the name of Jesus. We pray for the exposure of hidden schemes of the enemy, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal and uproot anything within us that aligns with the enemy's plans.

We close every door that the enemy might use to gain access to our lives. We repent of any sin, unforgiveness, or trauma, inviting the Holy Spirit to overwhelm and transform us. We cast out any destruction of the devil, opening ancient gates that have been closed so the Holy Spirit can move freely in our lives. We ask for divine revelation of any sources of sickness, disease, or sin, dealing with them through the blood of Jesus.

The process of spiritual healing involves crucifying our issues on the cross and allowing the glory light of God to minister healing to us. We acknowledge the presence of ministering spirits and healing angels, standing on the Word that by His stripes we are healed (1 Peter 2:24). This healing extends to every area of our lives, including our loved ones and even our pets.

In conclusion, kneading the Word of God into our lives is a daily discipline that brings about spiritual growth and victory. By continually engaging with scripture, speaking it over our circumstances, and allowing the Holy Spirit to work in us, we experience the transformative power of God's Word. Let us remain steadfast in this practice, trusting that as we do, we will see the fulfillment of God's promises in our lives.
