Faith, Healing, and Living in God's Word
September 30
I am contemplating the concept of healing, searching for its presence in our lives. It's not just an abstract notion; it's a tangible reality waiting to be discovered. I correlate this healing with faith, a powerful force within us.
James 5:15 tells us that faith is the key to unlocking the healing within us. It's the unwavering belief that allows us to thrive even in the face of sickness. Just as a cancer cell can multiply, our faith can grow and overwhelm any adversity, even the specter of death. In Scripture, we find that Jesus is the resurrection and the life (John 11:25). Understanding this truth is the foundation upon which we should build our faith. We must anchor ourselves in the Word of God to proclaim our healing confidently.
We have already been healed. Though it may not be apparent in our current reality, there exists a point in space and time where this healing manifests. Even within that timeframe, there are moments when faith can ignite, and miracles can occur, turning sickness into healing. Matthew 19:26 reminds us that faith operates on a continuum. Even the tiniest fraction of faith, like 1% or 0.000000001%, has the potential to move mountains. It's not about the size but the unwavering belief in God's power.
No situation is too small or too big. Even if we've made mistakes, we can turn to God in repentance. As Scripture tells us in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, I will hear from above and answer their prayers." We should always search for the anchor of faith in any circumstance. It's from this foundation that we can pray in our spiritual language, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us (Romans 8:26-27).
"Be it done according to your faith." This principle reminds us to grow our faith continually. Faith is a living substance, just like cancer cells grow. But faith is more potent, as it dwells in the light of God (Matthew 9:29). We stand under this faith reality and move forward, believing that God's Word will manifest our healing. In the midst of despair, we hold onto hope, trusting that God's promises are greater than the world's limitations (Psalm 119:105).
In our journey, we must find heaven even in our darkest moments. We locate our faith point and nurture it using God's Word and His Spirit. The pattern we follow is giving what we have to God, just as Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes given to Him (Matthew 14:13-21). We must give God our faith, and He will multiply it. Our faith point, anchored in His Word, grows stronger. It's not just a physical healing; it's a spiritual transformation. Our faith becomes a weapon against the darkness of the world (Ephesians 3:20).
We find the Word of God even in the midst of cancer. It's there because God's Word sustains all things. By aligning our faith with His Word, we can declare our healing and live in that reality (Hebrews 4:12). Our faith allows us to overcome the world's limitations and fears. We live in the position of faith, knowing that God's power transcends all earthly circumstances. We unite with Him, and He grants us more than we can imagine (James 4:8).
Ultimately, faith is the substance that connects us to the eternal Word of God. This Word holds the universe together, while everything else in the world is subject to change (Hebrews 11:1). In this ever-changing world, we must focus on the eternal Word and not succumb to despair. We speak life, not death, because we have the faith that transcends worldly limitations. We trust that God can do above and beyond what we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Our faith should not be shallow; it should be deeply rooted in the Word of God. We believe in the Word's power to heal and transform. We draw near to God, seeking the unity of logos and rhema, and we walk confidently in our own faith, not borrowed from others (Romans 12:2). In conclusion, our faith is the bridge to the healing and transformation offered by God's Word. We must stand firm, anchored in faith, and speak life into every situation, believing that the Word of God holds the power to overcome all sicknesses and bring us into alignment with His divine will of health (Mark 11:24).
