Embracing the 30% Rule: Trusting the Process                                        August 2

Today, I just want to lay down some thoughts about how to approach anything, even if it's something new, and achieve success. I start with a person that I used to listen to or read. He said that you only need 30% of any information to jump in and become successful in that field or project that you're interested in. Particularly, this man was in real estate, and he would go to a house, already armed with a little basic information, and he could pretty much tell how much it would cost him to renovate it. He would then go ahead, do that, and then rinse and repeat the process for various houses, ultimately making millions of dollars. He learned this concept from other successful people he encountered or read about.

This philosophy of working with just 30% of the information and not requiring oneself to be an expert resonated with me. Moving on, I found a scripture that confirmed this principle in my life. The Bible says that in the mouths of two or three witnesses, a matter is established (2 Corinthians 13:1). So, I have two scriptures that come to mind. One is where Jesus says that you only need to have a tiny bit of faith, like a mustard seed, and you can move mountains (Matthew 17:20). Another scripture talks about entering good ground and experiencing a 30, 60, 100 fold return (Matthew 13:8).

With these scriptures in mind, I've found the confidence to take on any project as long as I have faith in the Lord and an acceptable amount of information, only 30%. It doesn't have to be an overabundance; I just trust the Lord, and He will work things out for me. I give my plans into the Lord's hands, and He will pave the way for me to achieve the desires He has established in my heart.

Embracing this working 1/3 philosophy in my life has been relieving and empowering. I no longer have to be an expert; I can let the Lord guide me and bring the right experts or people into my life to help me reach my goals. This is how I plan to navigate the rest of my life, and I find it immensely reassuring to know that I don't have to have it all figured out from the start. I don’t need to have 100% of the information. With faith in the Lord and the courage to start with just 30% of the information, I can trust that the rest will fall into place, and bring success into my life.
