I want to share some insights I've gained through meditating on scriptures from the Bible. Today, I was contemplating where to start if one doesn't know where to begin. To me, the ideal starting point is entering into God's rest—a place of peace, calmness, and recovery—where you can center your soul and find tranquility in God. In this state, you can hear God's will for any matter in your life, whether it be healing, guidance, or financial needs.
One thing that struck me during my musings is the significance of the prayer language. Paul alluded to the connection between the rest of God and the prayer language in 1 Corinthians 14 referencing Isaiah's words about people who spoke in another language (1 Corinthians 14:21, Isaiah 28:11-12). These individuals were unable to hear God's word, and similarly, some may struggle to understand God's will. After reading 1 Corinthians 14:21 and Isaiah 28:11-12 I saw the connection that the prayer language brings rest and rejuvenation, making it a key starting point.
Hebrews 3:18-19 also mentions entering God's rest, indicating that those who were obstinate missed this rest. Using the prayer language allows us to enter this rest, a place of completion, as God rested on the seventh day after creating the world (Genesis 2:2). By tapping into our prayer language and believing in God's word, we find rest without anxiety. Scripture reminds us not to be anxious but to bring our requests to God through prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving. When we embrace this, the peace of God rules our hearts and minds, as mentioned in Philippians 4:6-7.
Romans 8:26-27 further highlights the prayer language's significance. When we don't know how to pray about a matter, speaking in tongues allows the Holy Spirit to intercede and bring God's guidance, understanding, miracles, healing, etc. into the problematic situation. The prayer language serves as a powerful tool to overcome chaos and anxiety. It can be used privately (speaking quietly under our breath so no one knows you are doing it) between us and God, bringing His peace into our lives and inviting ministering spirits (angels) to work on our behalf.
In conclusion, the prayer language is a vital starting and continual point, leading us to solutions beyond our imagination. It connects us to the Holy Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—empowering us to find rest for our souls and receive divine help in all aspects of life.
