The Power of the Word: Healing and Transformation (revisited)
February 7
Contemplating the intricate fabric of creation, one cannot escape the profound truth that everything, even the very fabric of demons and diseases, is woven together by the Word of God. Demons and devils, though dark and malevolent, are not exempt from this truth. They too are held together by the Word. In realizing this, one can discern the Word of God even within the depths of darkness. Extracting this divine essence from them brings about their dissolution, for without the sustaining power of the Word, they falter.
Similarly, diseases, likened to insidious Trojans, infiltrate the body's cells, usurping their functions and wreaking havoc. Yet, if they are sustained by the Word of God, then surely, within them lies the potential for healing. By extracting the Word from their destructive instructions, one can reverse their harmful effects. Jesus declared, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10, NIV). By invoking the Word of God, we activate a transformative power that turns darkness into light, despair into hope, and death into life abundant.
This principle extends beyond mere words; it is a profound spiritual reality. As we speak the Word into every situation, whether battling cancer or combating a virus, the light of God penetrates, transforming the very essence of existence. The Psalmist David recognized this omnipresence of God, declaring, "If I make my bed in the depths (Hell), you are there" (Psalm 139:8, NIV). Indeed, there is no place devoid of God's presence, no circumstance untouched by His Word.
Even the fallen angels, once celestial beings, carry within their essence the imprint of their original purpose – to worship and bow before God. This inherent obedience to divine authority persists, compelling them to submit in the presence of Jesus, the embodiment of the Word. When confronted with the Word of God, demons tremble and diseases yield, for they are but subjects in the grand symphony of creation. Every atom, every thought, resonates with the divine command, "Let there be light."
