Faith that Moves Mountains: Harnessing God's Peace, Love, and Joy

May 17

We should humble ourselves before the Lord and operate from that place of humility, even though there are wild horses and rebellious cats within our souls trying to overwhelm us and disrupt our peace. Despite these inner struggles, we should choose not to operate in that chaotic area.

Instead, we should operate in the peace of God, the love of God, the joy of God, and the faith of God, clearly demarcating this area and staying within it. There is no one like our Father God. We bask in His presence, grow in it, and stand firmly on His Word. We will not move out of this secret place, even if it is small. We run into this strong tower and hide there, amidst all the craziness, wars, dangers, turmoil, and chaos all around us (Proverbs 18:10).

Even as everything falls apart on our left and our right, we can keep ourselves in this place and grow our faith because the Word of God grows, and we can start taking ground. Some say you can eat an elephant and by extension move a mountain—little by little, using determination, discipline, and patience. This is an effective mountain-moving strategy. However, there is also an explosive atomic bomb faith. Instead of moving mountains one little rock at a time, the atomic faith of God commands, "Get out of here, mountain!" The Word of God holds everything together, and when His word aligns and is spoken from within our believing heart, the held mountain must swiftly go (Matthew 17:20).

"As it is in heaven, let it be on earth" (Matthew 6:10). The courts of heaven affirm this. God is not a liar; if He said we can move a mountain by speaking to it and not operating in unbelief, it will happen. Even with a little faith, like a mustard seed, we can move mountains (Matthew 17:20). Start from that biblical truth, and the obstacle never has a chance; it must move.

No matter where we are, as long as we have a little faith, we have everything we need to start operating. We will not move from that position, even if everything seems overwhelming. "Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4). "We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us" (Philippians 4:13), and "We have an unction from the Holy One, and in Him, we know all things" (1 John 2:20).

Operating from that perspective, and believing God’s Word will never be moved, will certainly overcome the world and destroy the works of the devil. "In the world, we will have tribulation, but we are of good cheer; because Jesus, in us, has overcome the world" (John 16:33). Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). The joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). In His presence is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). As we stay in His joy, we will conquer. "We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us" (Romans 8:37). All we need is a little faith drawn from His encouraging Words!

As we cultivate our faith through these connections, we will begin to experience healing. We release any soul hurts and trauma to God, casting all our cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7). We are anxious for nothing, and we do not fear, for Jesus instructs us not to fear (Philippians 4:6-7, Mark 6:50). The Word also says that He has not given us a spirit of fear but one of love, power, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Jesus shows us how to grow our faith through hearing and hearing His Word, declaring His Word, fasting, praying, and using our prayer language (Romans 10:9, Romans 10:17, Matthew 17:21, Jude 20).

Expanding our prayers for others creates connections, and as we intercede for others, we are creating points of faith for them. Communication with the body of Christ also strengthens and compounds our faith. "One can chase a thousand, and two can put ten thousand to flight" (Deuteronomy 32:30). There is strength in numbers when believers come together in unity (Psalm 133:1).

In summary, we operate from a place of peace, love, joy, and faith in God. We stand firm in His Word, grow in His faith, and connect with other believers. Through these practices, we will conquer and overcome any obstacles in our lives. We will move mountains!
