Part 3: Becoming Eternal in the Unchanging Word

                October 9

God's grace and mercy sustain our existence within this transient world. The Bible tells us that the Word of God is the force holding all things together (Colossians 1:17). When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, something remarkable occurs within us—we become new creations. Our spirits become eternal, and there is the potential for our souls and bodies to follow suit.

While everything we observe in the physical world is destined to pass away, those who have embraced Jesus will experience a transformation. Their bodies will be metamorphosed into glorified forms, mirroring what transpired with Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:52). In this process, the absolute Word of God stands as the constant, and those who are aligned with it become absolute themselves.

As long as the Word of God sustains this world, we have the potential to change and improve it. The Word of God can reverse the negative effects of decay, heal our bodies, and perform miracles. It allows us to defy the laws of this physical realm. Yet, there comes a point where God releases His grip on this world, permitting it to be consumed by fire. This is a precursor to the establishment of a new heaven and a new earth, free from the limitations and transient nature of our current existence (Revelation 21:1).

In conclusion, the Word of God is the absolute force that holds everything together, providing a bridge between the transient and the eternal. It transforms those who accept it, enabling them to participate in the miracles that defy the laws of this physical realm. While this world may pass away, the Word of God remains eternal, offering hope for a better, more heavenly reality.
