Judging the Python Spirit and Restoring Financial Blessings
September 12
I've been reflecting on the scripture found in Luke 6:38 (Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall men give into your bosom), and it brings to mind an essential lesson. There are times when we give, sow seeds, or cast our bread upon the waters, and yet, it seems that the promised return does not materialize. In my recent study, I've come across the concept of a spiritual hindrance known as the Python spirit. It's akin to the story in Acts 16:16-18, where a girl possessed by a divining spirit vexed the apostle Paul. Paul recognized the source of her "gift" as malevolent and rebuked the spirit, leading to her deliverance. However, those who exploited her divination abilities were infuriated by its loss.
This divination spirit, often symbolized as Python, can hinder the flow of money and blessings into our lives, ministries, or businesses. It is akin to the deceptive tactics of the serpent in the Garden of Eden, which lured Adam and Eve into sin, giving the devil a foothold to sow death, sorrow, and trials into their lives (Genesis 3:1-7). In contemporary times, the devil still exploits weaknesses or commonalities to infiltrate and cause destruction. To rectify this, we must turn to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, repenting for our sins and the generational sins tied to our ancestry (Romans 5:12). Although receiving Jesus deals with the sin nature, our souls still carry scars.
We must repent, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal areas of vulnerability to the devil. Repentance, coupled with the cleansing power of Jesus' blood, removes the blockages hindering financial blessings. We can also unlock blessings through communion, giving, and offerings, as seen in the Bible when God's fire consumed offerings, symbolizing the expulsion of serpents (Malachi 3:10). By adhering to godly principles, we can address financial losses linked to the devil's influence and regain what is rightfully ours. Proverbs 6:30-31 mentions that when you catch a thief, he must repay sevenfold, and this recovery is facilitated through prayer, worship, meditation on God's word, and declaring His promises (Psalm 34:17-18).
Moreover, we can approach the courts of heaven with praise and thanksgiving, bringing our offerings into the courts. These are powerful steps to healing our souls, reclaiming our financial blessings, and exercising the authority granted to us by Jesus to trample over snakes and scorpions (Luke 10:19). This process reopens the flow of money into our lives, aligning us with heaven’s abundant provision as God the judge renders a verdict of not guilty!
