God’s Hidden Easter Eggs

In my contemplation, I've been pondering Easter eggs – not the colorful ones you find on Easter morning, but the concealed surprises tucked away in games, apps, or software. These hidden gems are accessible to those who possess the secret word or code. It dawned on me that there may be similar Easter eggs in the kingdom of God, as alluded to in Deuteronomy 29:29. This scripture emphasizes that secret matters belong to the Lord, while revealed truths are meant for mankind, so we may adhere to His divine law (Deuteronomy 29:29).

God, it seems, delights in hiding profound insights, waiting for diligent seekers to uncover them. Drawing near to Him, as He promises to draw near to us, opens doors to these spiritual Easter eggs. Romans 11:33 reinforces the depths of God's wisdom and knowledge, which are beyond human comprehension (Romans 11:33). However, Jesus, after sharing His parables, hints at these hidden treasures, implying that those who possess "ears to hear and eyes to see" can discover them (Matthew 13:16-17).

Within the kingdom of God, or His Word, these concealed elements become evident. Prophecy and the prayer language are examples; when we publicly employ the prayer language, seeking interpretation is essential for clarity (1 Corinthians 14:13). The book of Esther, in the Bible, offers another enigmatic layer. God's presence isn't explicitly mentioned, but upon closer examination, it becomes evident that He orchestrated events for the benefit of the Jewish people. This aligns with Romans 8:28, assuring that God works all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

If we're uncertain about how to pray, the Spirit intercedes through groans, further connecting to Romans 8:28 (Romans 8:26-27). God weaves all these facets into the fabric of our lives, like a tapestry. What the enemy intends for harm, God turns into triumph, akin to the story of Joseph, who, though sold into slavery, later interpreted Pharaoh's dreams and rose to prominence (Genesis 41:39-41, Genesis 50:20). Daniel shares a similar narrative, interpreting dreams while in captivity and subsequently being promoted (Daniel 2:48, Daniel 6:28).

These instances are akin to Easter eggs in the word of God, hidden blessings in a Christian's life within the kingdom of God. The Bible encourages us to persistently seek, ask, and knock, implying that these Easter eggs are scattered throughout our earthly journey, awaiting discovery. As we uncover and employ them, they not only guide our path but also allow us to assist others along the way.
